Tone competition 2 round 1

The time has come to vote for your favorite guitar tone yet again. There are 62 entries this time around, far more than the 25 from the previous competition. That's why I'll be making several thread, with 7 entries in each. The winners from these thread will face each other head on in the final thread / showdown of semi-epic proportions.

I'll give every round a couple of days to gather enough votes before moving on to the next round. I intend to keep the voting time 5 days, but I'll extend it if needed and shorten if possible. I don't want to rush a round with insufficient votes or drag on too long when there's already a clear winner.

When voting, please keep in mind this is about the guitar tone. Some have louder guitars than others. No extreme differences though, the most extreme ones have been edited by Anssi. Some files were submitted with master bus changes. We used the submitted guitar only files and put those in the standard backing track in these cases to remove the master bus changes.

BB is loud as f***, but really nice. I like balance and good fit for the song.

edit: I've been listening through them again and I still like BB, but it should probably have been turned down.

I would have hoped the people on here have decent enough ears not to just take something by the volume alone but it seems like im being proved wrong already....obv unless you actually prefer that one genuinely then thats cool. Bit fishy though...

Yeah, there should be some element of appreciating the mix too. At least a little...

BY is my favorite, sits best IMO and has a very Recto-cab vibe to it on the chunks And how exactly did the volume of BB slip through? Personally, I think it should be disqualified...

Also, I really can't hear much lows in the bass guitar...

Agreed, on first skim-listen to all of them, BY sounds best. Since I'm part of this I'm not going to vote though. It shouldn't be allowed.

I like the BB tone but I would like to hear it more "mixed". I cant hear how it blends with the backing track.

BB was suspected of having master bus changes, so it was edited. The submitted guitar only file was put in the stock backing track. It was then checked for clipping, which wasn't the case. I can't disqualify BB as it didn't break any rules. If you hate the loudness so much, just don't vote for it.
