Toontrack Metal Month 2013 - Trailer

Nice!

Was gonna ask what you used for the snare....then it dawned on me...

i guess the SDX will be the last one!?
it's the only product i'm interested in tbh :D

Sorry for the "spoiler" but acording to this

19 November -> The Rock Warehouse SDX
20 GB expansion for Superior Drummer fresh from The Warehouse Studios in Vancouver.
Directed by the successful engineer Randy Staub among other things, Metallica 's Black Album produced.

Haha, it's funny how they don't even try to hide that The Rock Warehouse are just remixed Rock Solid Samples. The Dude even wears the same shirt in the Making Of videos. :D

it's the same video footage from rock solid, don't even need to go back and rewatch it to check that cause I still remember what they said.

Check the gearlist too.
Not in the mood right now to check it piece per piece, but it seems it's pretty much the same setup with maybe a snare or 2 more, looking through it quickly.
So yeah, basicly the EZ Samples, but raw and easier accessable, OR they hauled in most of the equipment again and re-recordet it with same skins etc...
Which I guess is a good thing since the toms have been nice on EZ iirc, but still, nothing "new".

So unlike Rock Solid, these aren't compressed beyond recognition but then it doesn't sound like Randy Staub. So what's the point ?

There had to be a middle ground...

Haha, well, I realize they sure might be good for something. I just thought the Marketing was shit. "Oh hey, here's some new stuff (that we totally did last year and just withheld from you guys so we actually have something new this year as well)." :D

The samples sounded avarege IMO.
LSD raw samples are 10x better than this.

EDIT: the cymbals sound awful, just like rock solid... I wish I never bought this EZX expansion. Damn GAS

Well, since nobody except for 30 guys on some internet forums (only 15% of which will even buy the product in the first place) will notice that, I wouldn't have cared either, if I was Toontrack. Especially since both products ARE indeed different, due to the different software.

I mean, since when does it matter WHEN something was actually produced?

don't whine please. everybody was crying for an sdx expansion, and now everybody is crying because they got it. Last year everybody was crying because solid rock was just exz and not sdx, now they cry because they don't want it anymore. Just calm down and be happy that one month per year toontrack keeps releasing metal related contents, even if they've already done A TON of good samples and stuff.
