Top 10 - 2007 Albums

no way the new db is better than the new arch enemy. the new arch enemy is the best one since wages of sin since they actually got back to being darker and heavier instead of the gayness that was anthems and doomsday. needless to say its still not amazing, but definately better than the new dimmu which was just awful, especially the serpentine offering or whatever. the lyrics made me lol wondering how cheesy and stupidly wannabe evil they can try to be.

yes because we all know it's about the lyrics...

I'm really surprised that only two people listed neurosis. they must be alot more obsure than I thought.

Hardly obscure. Haven't picked it up yet. I normally don't listen much to new releases until long after they've been out, and Neurosis takes some time to properly take in. If it be as good as A Sun... or Times of Grace, it will likely end up on a revised list (sometime in April, given how slow I am to check out new music).

I think top 10s are a bit lame, so I'll just list the few CDs I found very good to hear this year:

- Ziltoid - The Omniscient
- Circus Maximus - Isolate
- Agent Steel - Alienigma (though definitely not as good as Order of the Illuminati)
- Morgana Lefay - Aberrations of the Mind
- Shatter Messiah - God Burns Like Flesh
- Iced Earth - Framing Armageddon (a big step back in the right direction after the Glorious Hurlen)
- Vicious Rumors - Warball (or was that late 2006?)
- Rage - Speak of the Dead
- Pan of Salvation - Scarsick
