10. Manticora - The Black Circus Pt. 2
11. UDO - Mastercutor
12. Grave Digger - Liberty or Death
13. Manowar - Gods of War

I just got the new Iced Earth so the way its growin' on me with each listen, it could end up at the top spot.

I consider #'s 1 thru 6 to be very good/great albums.

#'s 7 thru 10 are good/ok albums.

#'s 11 thru 13 are disappointments. I am a fan of all 3 bands but those albums are not very good overall...especially the Manowar one.

I am still highly looking forward to these albums which will be released by the end of the year....

Down - III
Lizzy Borden - Appointment with Death
Overkill - Immortalis
Helloween - Gambling With The Devil
Primal Fear - New Religion

new cd from :
Iced Earth
Therion
Megadeth
Candlemass
Kamelot
King Diamond
Insania
Manowar
Sym X
Doomsword
Zandelle

I haven't quite figured out the order yet, but I know the following are probably going to be somewhere in my top 10:

Threshold
Xandria
Megadeth
Scorpions
UDO
Kamelot

And of course "The Best of Black Sabbath:The Dio Years" will probably get honorable mention for a "Best of" CD. :headbang:

Even though 2007 is only 2/3 over I do have some albums that i believe are worthy of mentioning. Now granted two on my list have not seen the light of day as of yet but will be out by ProgPower.

Nightwish - Dark Passion Play
Circus Maximus - Isolate
Eternal Flight - Under the Sign of Will
Dimension - Ego
Division By Zero - Tyranny of Therapy( OH MY GOD THIS IS AWESOME)
Redemption - The Origins of Ruin
New Breed - Child of the Sun
Darkwater - Calling the Earth to Witness
Symphony X - Paradise Lost
Dimmu Borgir - In Sorte Diabolic
Pathosray - Pathosray(Can't wait for this)

I've skipped quite a few new releases so far this year, but so far my favorites have been:

Circus Maximus - Isolate
The Absence - Riders of the Plague
Caspian - The Four Trees
Mors Principium Est - Liberation=Termination
Dark Tranquillity - Fiction
Manticora - The Black Circus Pt. 2: Disclosure

I haven't heard the new Riverside yet, but I am very much looking forward to it. The year was alright and there have been a few killer releases so far, but I'm expecting a better set of releases next year.

Manegarm - Vargensteren(sp =/)
Municipal Waste - The Art of Partying
Devin Townsend - Ziltoid
Circus Maximus - Isolate
Redemption - Origins of Ruins
Dark Tranquility - Fiction
Symphony X - Paradise Lost
Nightwish - dark passion play
Threshold - dead reckoning
raintime - flies and lies
Therion

Firewind is '06

And after Circus it's no real order....but im surprised noone else likes Manegarm's fantastic album :(

Hm.

I'll have to sit down and put them in order, but right now my top list will likely include:

Behemoth - The Apostasy
Iced Earth - Framing Armageddon
Circus Maximus - Isolate
Manticora - The Black Circus Pt. 2
Symphony X - Paradise Lost
Dark Tranquillity - Fiction
Nightwish - Dark Passion Play
Raintime - Flies & Lies

Sonata Arctica - Unia
Kamelot - The Ghost Opera
King Diamond - Give Me Your Soul...Please
After Forever - S/T

And likely a "Best Live Disc" going to Opeth for "The Roundhouse Tapes" when it comes out. I haven't heard many new live CDs this year, to be honest.

I just wrote this on another board the other day .... here goes.

My top 10 goes something like this.

#1 Threshold - Dead Reckoning -- It's held a lofty spot all year long. It's my favorite Threshold disc to date. I'm bummed about the Mac thing.

#2 Kamelot - Ghost Opera -- I like it a lot. Mid tempo, somewhat experimental Kamelot is my favorite kind of Kamelot.

#3 Devin Townsend - Ziltoid The Omniscient -- what a cool disc .. I've never liked anything this guy has done until this.

#4 Amorphis - Silent Waters -- another winner for Amorphis ... in a similar vein as the excellent Eclipse from last year.

#5 Eldritch - Blackenday -- This one is not clicking with most people it seems .. I think it's great stuff, and their best disc to date. I bought the limited edition, and it came with three more .. fairly high quality bonus tracks. These guys are just a bit quirky here and there, and it sets them apart a bit, and makes them kind of unique. Great solos as well.

#6 King Diamond - Give Me Your Soul ... Please -- this one clicked with me right away. I'd rate it higher, but I think the concept is a bit weak, and the production is kind of thin.

#7 Symphony X - Paradise Lost -- It took me a while to get into the mood to really spin this one, after initially loving it the first week it came out. I think it's high quality stuff, although I could use a little less Evil Russ.

#8 Machine Men - Circus Of Fools -- I'm not sure it will remain in the top 10 at years end, but it got a lot of airplay with me earlier this year.

#9 November's Doom - The Novella Reservoir -- I liked this one straight away. I kind of shelved it for a while, but came back to it again after seeing ND live at Alehorn.

#10 Poverty's No Crime - Save My Soul -- It's not a perfect disc, but I think it hs enough going for it to have a shot at my top 10. I will probably fall short of that, but I do enjoy the disc.

other contenders....

PC69 - In10sity -- Their best stuff since Sonic Dynamite.

Scariot - Momentum Shift - This was my very early #1 .. it's fallen off a lot as the year went on.

Candlemass - King Of The Grey Island -- Good disc .. Robert Lowe is a heck of a vocalist.

Circus Maximus - Isolate -- Overhyped in my internet circles, but a good disc none the less. The singer is great, but some of the songs on here are not.

DGM - Different Shapes -- I like it quite a bit, but it's really yet to get the constant airlplay from me that some of these others have received.

Nocturnal Rites - The 8th Sin -- I like the most recent discs from these guys best.
