Sorry to necro, but it beats making a whole new thread.

Took the time today and put together a much more readable and thought out top 100 albums list on RYM

Re: new Burzum topping old Burzum- the old albums had maybe 1-2 masterpiece songs per album, but the new stuff is so much more consistent with less filler- at least before he went off the rails after Umskiptar. Also wanted to add Clutch since they're one of my favorite bands overall, but with no one amazing album. So many perfect tracks scattered around their discography...

18. Belus
19. Fallen

I have so many questions.

Love ya for Clutch, but they have amazing albums. Earth Rocker, the self titled, and Blast Tyrant are definitely the ones I'd recommend to everyone with 'incredible' label.

I didn't post earlier as I couldn't be arsed deciding which out of Sticky Filth, Budige and Plasmatics belonged on a metal list. But something like this:

1. Metallica - ...And Justice for All
2. Danzig - Danzig II: Lucifuge
3. Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath
4. Plasmatics - Coup d'État
5. Megadeth - Countdown to Extinction
6. Budgie - Never Turn Your Back on a Friend
7. Metallica - Reload
8. Girlschool - Hit and Run
9. Eagle Twin - The Unkindness of Crows
10. Diamond Head - Lightning to the Nations

Symbolic
Vol. 4
Awaken the Guardian
Slaughter of the Soul
Hell Awaits
Symphonies of Sickness
Covenant
Human
Screaming for Vengeance
Powerslave/Consuming Impulse

I don't really like making lists but I made this one for another thread recently so pick the first ten I guess.

I would probably go with it differently if I were to make it again, but I don't care.

My top 10 list looks pretty mainstream lol

Metallica-Kill em all
Tool-Aenima
Alice in chains-Dirt
White Zombie-La sexorcisto
Gwar-Scumdogs of the universe
Morbid Angel-Covenant
Suffocation-Human Waste
Cadaver-In pains
Death-Individual thought patterns
Incantation-Onward to Golgotha

By genre not order. On the death metal side, Destroy the Opposition, Millennium, and Vile just missed the cut while Far Beyond Driven, in case you didn't feel like showing up, Haunting the chapel, and Danzig's 4 missed the cut for non-death metal
