TV Shows

^Yep. This was the first season that went totally ahead of the books -- hence all the plot holes and inexplicable motivations. At this point, the show isn't telling a story; it's moving pieces. That's what pisses a lot of people off. Though infinitely more complex, the logic of the books holds up -- even down to the smallest details. You can't really blame the showrunners, though. They're on their own, and have to finish the whole thing in just 13 episodes. I thought the most recent season was fairly successful, considering what it was up against. The acting and the action sequences were 10/10.

Yeah this. I heard that they're planning on making only two more seasons, which means they've got to tie together a great number of stories that have been slowly unfurling very quickly. It'll probably get a bit messy.

finished Justified. excellent ending just like everyone says. probably one of the better shows ive seen.

everyone keeps talking about Strangest Things, like its goonies with aliens. is it any good?

finished The Last Kingdom on netpoopz. pretty good take on the viking invasion of wessex. not nearly as cool as Vikings.

started Stranger Things. loving it. total 80s worship, and this 80s kid is loving it. ET, Goonies and throw in some cheesy boo scares. Plus an 80s soundtrack. fun stuff

I had trouble finishing it....most of the entertainment value is the nostalgia of watching something that's eerily similar to something I'd watch when was 8

Im only two eps in and i agree. Its not original or anything but it seems fun and yeah, its something id watch on our families old zenith when i was a kid

I feel the creators did an excellent job recreating everything from the score to the intro graphics. It's really spot-on. The wallpaper in one of the kids houses is from the mid-70s which would be perfect for something taking place not too many years afterwards. Brilliant.

Stranger Things is what it is: fun, well-made nostalgia

Mr. Robot is the best show on the tube right now

Pumped about: Rectify, The Fall, Twin Peaks?

The Night of has delivered so far, except for the jail setting coming across as polished and kind of parodic. John Turturro owns the show as expected. The main character is ok, he's been written to start off as a random dude whose complexity was to be revealed layer by layer. Hoping they won't fuck it up with a poor resolution.
