TV Shows

Vikings....finished the series. Ended on a good note. Not much to say. I thoroughly enjoyed this run.

Mr Robot....finished this one too. Solid ending that I didnt see coming. This show isnt my typical thing but it kept dragging me into its weirdness.

Got to S2 of Vikings and just stopped. Thoroughly enjoyed what I saw, but I got hard A.D.D when it comes to TV. Need to revisit.

Kathryn Winnick is an angel. Yummy

Only show im currently watching with any regularity is Three's Company. John Ritter>Dick Van Dyke in regards to physical comedy. Show is so damn well written with instances where jokes pile on top of one another in a cascading effect. Legit have cackled like a raving madman on multiple occasions during this rewatch. Always enjoyed it as a kid, but not THIS much.

Some peeps suggested i watch Wandavision to keep up with the MCU. I dont have high hopes. Two eps in and this is retarded. Thank loki the eps are only 30 minutes

J, based on some of your recent watches, give Black Sails a try. It's a realistic (see super violent) look at early 18th century pirating in the Caribbean--I just recently finished the series after only catching the first season when it originally aired. It's underrated as fuck and completely excellent. It's supposed to be a prequel to treasure island, but it doesn't really connect to the book except for a few characters and the last few episodes.

i still havent ventured beyond s1 of Ozark.

and I go back and forth with Outlander. I dig it because of the history and violence

I'm watching Debris and it's really good. Modern sci-fi with all of the feels, as the kids say.

I can't remember the last time I watched a Brand New TV Show as it just started. Stranger Things most likely? Unless you count seasons 10 and 11 of X-files which hell yeah I watched as they aired (and then the day the Blu Ray sets were released, and then again after those were done, and...).

Season 4 was always interesting to me because it's got that plot with prez and the education system. It's certainly a tiny bit sensationalized (more in the speed in which prez is able to get through to the kids), but not as much as most people would think --- it definitely gets more right with what happens in inner city schools, especially with the students themselves. It was surreal for me like I imagine what a cop feels when watching some generic procedural on TV.

Edit: My first year teaching was for a program with over aged and undercredited high schoolers that had some students that were not that different from the the kids got pulled into that round table separate from the class (not sure if you're up to that episode yet).

I always thought season 1-3 were the best, slightly less with four, and the last season being the "worst" of the series --really though, a less than superb season of the wire is better than 95% of other things on tv.

I warmed up to season 5 a LOT upon watching the whole series for the third time

Season 2 and polak/whores plot forever

I remember being a bit let down the first time I watched season 2 because it was so different and had a much larger in scope than season 1, but I have come to like as much as season one and three. I remember writing a really terrible myspace review for the wire once after watching the whole thing--

Don't remember if I mentioned it - but I loved The Terror, 1st season (each of them is a different story).
Basically it's a modified version of Dan Simmon's book about Franklin's lost expedition.

I thought some of the fantasy moment were cheesy but the overall mood and atmosphere of the show is totally worth it.
