Twilight

I don't think that the "douche commercial" factor of Twilight has anything to do with the actors or the acting; I blame the direction.

Oh, and let's not forget the utter shitfest masterpieces like Independence Day and 2012...there are way, way, WAY worse films than Twilight in contemporary cinema.

I believe it was a first time director here... not only was it bad but there was alot of beginners mistakes you could see in the movie like wires and microphones showing and sound editing issues.

and how dare you, any movie with bill pullman is amazing

to be honest i wasn't bothered much by the plot, it's what i would expect from a blockbuster movie for teens. But the dialog, jesus, Paris Hilton can write more interesting lines than that.

Twilight sucks hard, I saw about half of the first one and was just disgusted. I want my vampires to have fangs, I want to see blood and guts and killing. What I don't want is a fucking bloodless soap opera for 13 year old girls and their midlife crisis mothers...die Twilight...die......

lol @ everyone complaining about the movie... I mean, this is a commercial teen movie. What did you expect?
I saw the first one and didn't have a problem with it. Of course, it was just another romantic teenage love story. I must say, I really liked the places where the film was shot (Washington state), and since I'm a big fan of the northwestern outdoors, this was the reason for me to watch it.

Yes. Yes. Yes!!!!

Thats what bothered me the most about that series. We've got elements that would suggest horror. Vampires, Werewolves, suspense, YET NOTHING HAPPENS! NOTHING AT ALL! This is due to bad writing. The films were a blatant cash-in on the popularity of the book series. The actors themselves (the main ones anyway) have said they really hated the story and how it was written but did the films mainly for the paycheck.

Yay!

I agree, and I'm sick of Hollywood punching out vampire wusses.

Bram Stoker's Dracula and Hellsing...that's all that I really enjoy. Alucard is the epitome of evil, and he's what I expect from a vampire badass.

Btw, Twilight reminded me of a Vivian Vande Velde story, except I remember actually enjoying her writing as a kid.

lol i thought she was a small time writer i read a few of her's, heir apparent and one where they play a pirated game but it's actually a virus and they are stuck in a dungeon crawler? something like that. both stories were quite similar, but i liked the idea behind them.

i rewatched Twilight and besides being insanely lame vampires and shitty dialogue and direction it was ok, mostly because i watched it under the impression that there are "much worse" movies out there, but i prefer my violent evil vampires.

Daybreakers was pretty good in that respect.
