Twilight

You guys all realize that by starting threads about bashing twilight, you're only fueling the shitfire because it just ends up shedding more attention on it and one person might be bound to say "Wow, this movie sounds like such utter and complete shit that I gotta see it".
 
no, not really. it's been out for what... 2 years (?) at this point. if a thread is the deciding factor as to whether or not someone sees a shitty movie, then obviously professional marketing teams aren't doing the proper stuff with their autograph conventions, personal appearances, radio ads, television spots, magazine spreads...
 
call me crazy but when I hear a movie sucks or is really fucking worthless I don't instantly feel the need to go out and waste my time and money seeing it. Hell, I wouldn't even waste my time looking to download it, I'd just know it sucks and not bother with it.
 
so no one carries the "I wanna see what all the fuss is about" mentality around here?
 
I had to read the book to see whats all the hype is about. I know so many people who are so into that crap.. I had to see for myself.
The the movie appeared on SHOWTIME On Demand, it was Sunday afternoon, I was hangover from the show the night before.. you know how it is.

I clearly understand now, that starting this thread was my fishnet glove moment.
 
Actually, I only watched it as a Riff track, so I only supported the mystery science theatre guys :p

That was waaaay better than the movie on it's own, haha!

Yeah. I didnt hate the movies either. They werent fantastic or anything but no i didnt hate them. I dont really hate Twilight anyway. Its not good in any real respect, but again, i dont hate it. Craysh did make a good point that people going out of their way to hate on it, draws more attention.

Twilight couldn't possibly draw more attention than it already has. it has its own merchandise section in Walmart, for the love of Jesus.
 
People like this stuff. I like cheese so I want to buy cheese (pretty often, I may add) and so if you like Twilight you want to buy Twilight shit I imagine.
 
Hey Derek, a while ago you posted about how great ginger tea with honey and lemon is for sicknesses. Well I've been making hot honey and lemon water for the past day and it's been making me feel pretty great so I picked up some ginger root to see if it improves the experience.

Hey man, yep, for sure. If you just put some chopped pieces of ginger in hot water for a while then remove them and add honey and lemon it's brilliant, it's really worked the few times I've been sick.
