So, here are some changes I'd like to see in the league next year, assuming the same amount of people play.
Expand the roster to 1 QB, 3 WR, 2 RB, 1 TE, K, DST.
Reduce bench spots to 3
Re-introduce waivers
Increase interceptions to -2
Changes I would make if I owned my own fantasy football website:
Automatic in game substitutions for injured players. Here's how it would work.
Each week you get to choose a player you want to utilize your injury substitution tag on. In this instance let's say you want to make sure that if your RB get's hurt you don't get trounced because he goes out of the game in the first quarter by some fluke injury. You designate a player on your bench as his "backup" and if your starter goes down, your backup's points will automatically be added to that roster spots accumulated points total, based on the time of substitution. So let's say Matt Forte is your starter and you designate that roster spots backup as Frank Gore. If Matt Forte goes down at 14:40 in the 2nd quarter and accumulated 5 points so far, Frank Gore would then continue to accumulate points for that roster position starting at 14:39 of the second quarter in his real life game. This way, just like in real NFL games, injuries aren't the downfall of a team one week because they have a player go down with an injury. This also increases the usefulness of having a bench in the first place.
I dunno how difficult it would be to do that, I doubt it'd be too difficult. And honestly I would expand it to your entire roster tbh. You just have to designate who the starter is and who the backup is for each position. Rosters would be huge, sure, but goddamn that'd be fun.
