OH actually I vote for @MetalAges for upgrading our forum and participating in the community, much appreciated. A lot of website owners don't care as much and it shows

It's funny, everywhere I seem to go members complain that UM is dying, slowing down etc. Yet I've heard multiple times that I post too much.
It's as if people want to treat the forum with a certain blasé attitude and look down on people that post enthusiastically but at the same time treat the forum seriously enough to be bummed out at it slowing down.

I work night shifts so all I do all day is drink beer and lurk the internet. Sorry about that. I'm a fucking hermit.

Not sure if a reply to me but: I'm not complaining that you post too much, I said it's probably good for the forum. It's just that I find you disagreeable at time but who cares, I feel the same way for several other people here and keep coming back. I think something you said that I agreed with a lot is relevant here: I don't want this forum to be an echo chamber of the same opinions. It's good to learn of new bands and opinions outside my usual fare. In short keep on doing what you do.

Also I don't think the forum is slowing down. Or at least I'm ok with slow forums. I visit others much slower than this.

Yeah I'm with Baroque, MetalAges have done an awesome work with the forum and deserves all cred for that. I've not been so active this year due to personal shit but from what I've been catching this year TB, Baroque, Ozz will get my vote and CIG is growing on me lately. Hope to see more from Kafka and D_T again.

This forum is the most active it's been in years and I'm glad I was part of it. The forum upgrade has surely helped too because people are coming back in droves and members not from GMD are now posting in GMD and lurkers are now becoming regular posters.

Thanks by the way, I'm well aware of how fucked I can be but I think my redeeming quality is that I never let disagreements get in the way of getting along and having fun.

I'm changing my vote if that's possible. @MetalAges definitely deserves it. This new forum absolutely shits all over the old one!

I agree with Ozz it can be non admin GMD of the year. I'm just a chump that tries to keep the train rolling! I'm just happy everyone hangs around to keep the fire going. Without good people (and knowledgeable ones at that) the site would be nothing. So, it's a team effort

I will say I enjoy these days much more than the early days where I was the devil admin from hell in people's eyes!

I hate when people complain about low activity here. As far as I know, this is the most active heavy metal forum there is. I set up a black metal forum, five members, one is me, one is a test account, and three are real members. Two are inactive members, one is almost inactive. I am very active. Talk about an inactive site...
