I saw them in FYE before (Skeletal Season actually!) and almost bought it; d/led it and liked it...still haven't bought it though. That's how I've heard of 'em.

Indeed same here. I bought one album from them as a blind purchase and I regret it. The music overall just seemed lame, there's really no other way for me to say it. I'm not into the beer drinking metal or "brothers of metal unite!" kind of metal as this band came across as.

They have their, erm....anthemic moments (Kill for Metal, Metal Lust etc), but their lyrical content spreads to much more than denim und leather metal appreciation.

They have a long standing interest in the cryptozoological, (hence the title of their last album, naturally enough), and in the more arcane aspects of strange lore.

Usurper rule. I was just listening to them last night. I never saw the black metal in them though. Their older stuff must have been black/thrash, because I have "Cryptobeast", which is pretty much straight-up death/thrash, with maybe a few touches of black metal here and there. Good band nonetheless.

Actually, there are only three of them, and only one is still active and has had a solid career. The other US one only released one demo and the one from Holland only had one album, so you figure it out.

Err i did figure it out, the one thats active isnt covering all 3 genres, and there are 4, and please dont check some feeble website such as rockdetector for music trivia, its beneath you and myself. get your real info from the bands website. thanks.

Also, I'm willing to wager that you haven't actually listened to a wide array of the band's material to actually judge for yourself just how much of the genres the band cover in their music.
