You could as you like. Im still using the first version so on tracks where i got allot of compression going on i put it at last in the chain because of the hiss-sound gets to loud.

anyone who DOESNT use VCC is really fucking missing out...

feels like mixing through an analog console. My mixes come together 50% faster, I swear. Less processing, less bullshit. Cleaner and more vibey mix.

I'll repeat this question now, any answer? I would fucking LOVE this plugin, especially so cheap and with an iLok2 thrown in, but if it's not going to work then I'd rather not waste my time and money.

Works fine for me in Sonar 8.5 64bit. Most bugs I had where with the 32bit used in the bridge, but the 64bit version seems to have smooth all that over. Good cpu reduction since the last release too.

Just bought this.. downloaded both the normal exe and legacy exe (not sure what this is for? Also Slate, all your files, when downloaded, are missing extensions, don't know why), and they're both saying they're incompatible with my system's version, I'm on 64bit. Is there an alternate download link for a 64bit version or what?

Does anybody know what happens with the old Ilok when you get the Ilok 2?
Do I transfer the licences and then the old Ilok is empty and worthless? Or do I have the licences on both then?

Morgan, I didnt know whats up with the lastest version but with the version before that you have to rename the file.

Like adding a .zip at the end

the legacy version is an older version proven to work.
I would delete both files and download the new version again.

Then rename the file and everything should work

Yeah that worked. I'd renamed it as an .exe but it was actually a .rar, thanks.

yup, you can transfer alll licenses to Ilok2 and sell the 1, dunno...

But it takes some time to transfer from 1 to 2, make sure that you don't interrupt the process.

That's a nice price right now. I'm super tempted, but since I got so many plugins lately, I decided to go for a demo first and see if I really 'need' this.

Did a little comparison test between no virtual channel, Nebula MLC and the Slate Brit 4K setting (on channels as well as the master buss). I thought it wouldn't hurt to share the files here, even though my mixes aren't pro level. Then again a real pro would probably use the real console. I tried to use equal saturation as much as possible. It was a quick mix to start with, but still interesting for me to see what it does on a heavy mix like this. Sorry if the mix clips a little here and there.

The differences are subtle. I like the fatness the MCL gives, but the VCC sounds very full also and maybe a bit clearer. Well, first impression is that I like it, and will probably end up buying it anyways.

You can transfer licenses from your iLok to your iLok 2 for free but they will not be on both keys, that would be too easy wouldn't it? The transfer is done online and takes a few seconds only.
