haha luminous, i WAS referring to shining force 2 and phantasy star 4... they are just some of my favs....have u ever played Shining In The Darkness?

it was supposedly the "first" shining force before shining force 1. its one of those dungeon sorta games...like u move forward, back, left, right eetc....how i know this is because the last boss is Dark Sol heheh

Very, very old rpgs usually don't inspire me that much. I think the first really good rpg I played was Final Fantasy 1, but it was so hard that it made me quite angry many times.

yeah it really was....also dragon warrior...oh man..on the NES...i dont remember which dragon warrior it was exactly tho...i think it was 4...man it was annoyin ...but so good

I liked Dragon Warrior III the best, but IV was great too. They were very simple and the combat was a constant annoyance... and the story sucked, but they were so much fun to play for some odd reason.

I used to play RPGs quite a bit. Now the only game I play is Starcraft : Brood War.

Hey Spikes have you played Castlevania: Symphony of the Night? IMO thats the best castlevania games and the best game on playstation. 2d side scrolling rpgs rule! And I always thought Symphony of the Night would be a cool name for an album...

I love the Castlevania series, SOTN is my favorite video game of all time, everything about the game is perfect. The GBA Castlevania games are great as well, especially Aria of Sorrow.

I love the Final Fantasy series, I've completed 6 - 10 but haven't played any others yet. Metal Gear Solid series is cool too. I also really like SoulBlade, can't wait for Soul Calibur 2 in september. I haven't had much time for playing games lately tho.
