FUUUUCKKKKK ... the new one from BLOOD RED THRONE - Altered Genesis is completely blowing my nuts off !!!!

Papa Josh and JK you will definetelly beat off relentlesly to this ... the bass oh that 5 string bass with some razor riffing and those galloping rythms ... ugh.
There are some great standout tracks on here ... Arterial Lust, Smite, Tortured Soul Appearance ... Fuck i love this!!! :rock:

When is that officially released in the U.S? I'm growing to really like the debut more and more. Looking forward to this.

From what I've seen in the past, PJ and JayK would probably both despise this unless it's radically different from past efforts.

not sure about their previous releases but this is just fucking pure chunky galloping death metal, not too technical just heads off ballsy.

Lurch knows where it's at - Altered Genesis ROCKS SO HARD, IT'S ALMOST EMBARRASSING. But so do the other BRT releases.

I don't get how you can like something like Malevolent Creation and not like this ... this is just nice and old school brutal stuff, done well. I don't need 30 riffs in one song to make me go WOW.

BTR is only good at being generic. I still remember when the debut came out and everyone jumped on it (including me) because Tchort was involved and he had just released OMG A 60-MINUTE SONG RULE!!!! It's sad that the best thing about Monument of Death was the cover art, which wasn't even that great.

But I also don't understand death metal needing a twist to be enjoyed. Does this mean death metal bands need a gimmick to increase the enjoyment factor? don't get that. Does this also apply to black metal, doom, etc?

I've never said that death metal requires 4,000 riffs in one song for me to enjoy it. I love old school Obituary, Morgoth, Unleashed and plenty of shit like that.

But Blood Red Throne doesn't even come close to matching the mighty Malevolent Creation.
