Straying more and more off topic...
But I find the fact that americans call ecologicaly grown food 'organic' just incredibly stupid. OF COURSE IT'S ORGANIC!! :yell:

Also.. Evan84, is it really necessary to have a picture the size of Jylland in your sig? :p
 
amf...sadly, here we have to differentiate between food that is grown naturally and food prepared in factories rarely containing an ingredient found in nature. Even more sad is that the "fake" foods are more readily available and cheaper.

The thing that irritates me so much is the choice of words. Organic means that the food is made from hydrocarbon molecules, that it concists of animals or vegetables. ALL food is organic. It has nothing to do with wether it has been geneticaly modified, sprayed with nerve poison or fed with antibiotics or not. ;)
 
Of course, "Organic food" is just a short cut for saying "Organically grown food" with no pesticides, which i do believe are inorganic, but I could be wrong.
 
Afaik, pesticides cannot be inorganic because they are life forms. So organic food is food without any gene-manipulation and, as coltrane has already mentioned, without pesticides.

hahaha...well, it's a fair remark but it seems that every time we're nearly there we have yet another setback that put us at square ONE..hopefully our new webmaster can fix it and put it up..it's very sad for us as well as for the people who seeks info about our activities.
