Wedding Crashers

I've heard that Vince Vaughn is absolutely fantastic, and gives one of the great comedic performances of modern times. I look forward to this.

Tonight, after a CUNTof a day at work, I went on a mini spree in Virgin:

Swingers Special Edition
Old School
Zoolander
Anchorman
Apollo 13 Special Edition
Harry Potter 2
Harry Potter 3 - The Revenge

the HP's were really for Mark, it being his birthday tomorrow and everything. After my dinner I'm going to settle in front of the idiot box and OD on Vince Vaughn. :)

I'm a huge Owen Wilson fan.

Caught him on Rove last night, and he told a story about him hanging out with...

HARRY DEAN STANTON.

THE COOLEST FUCKER ON THE EARTH.

My respect for Wilson increased tenfold \m/

Finally there are some movies out this year that I wanna see. Up until now there was NOTHING, and the only new movie I had gone to see all year was Hide & Seek which was crap.

But now there is Wedding Crashers which looks hilarious, Sin City which I haven't seen yet but I've only heard good things about and looks entertaining, and on Thursday "Land of the Dead" starts! I don't have particularly high expectations for Land of the Dead (compared to his first 3) but it's a Romero zombie movie so I gotta see it and it should still be good! Lately though I've been enjoying the low budget Italian zombie flicks from the late 70s/early 80s more than the Romero ones, even though they have the worst dialogue and dubbing I have ever seen haha.

Oh and speaking of movie hauls, I got my tax return and have gone nuts on DVDpacific.com ordering lots of stuff super cheap that you can only buy imports of in Australia at Minotaur for like $50+ each (some coz they are banned here). In the last 2-3 weeks I have bought or ordered the following movies:

Zombie Flesh Eaters (aka. Zombie/Zombi 2) - 1979 Italian Lucio Fulci flick
Vampyros Lesbos - 1971 German lesbian vampire sexploitation by Jess Franco
Burial Ground: The Nights of Terror - Very weird 1980 Italian zombie flick
Hell of the Living Dead (aka. Virus) - Another Italian zombie flick from 1979
Rats Night of Terror - VERY weird 1983 Italian horror from Bruno Mattei (Virus)
Mountain of the Cannibal God - Banned Italian cannibal exploitation from 1981
Cannibal Man - 1972 Italian horror about an ordinary man driven to cannibalism!
A Blade In The Dark - 1983 Italian "giallo" film from Lamberto Bava
Macabre - Lamberto Bava again, this one from 1980 about a necrophiliac
Maniac Cop - Classic slasher/action flick with Bruce Campbell! Dodgy print though
Ilsa, She Wolf of the SS - Notoriously banned 1974 exploitation, very sadistic & violent
Ilsa, Harem Keeper of the Oil Sheiks - Much tamer than She Wolf...
Ilsa, The Wicked Warden - Sleaziest of the 3, directed by Jess Franco
Pieces - Hilarious 1982 z-grade slasher flick from Spain, cool murders though
Texas Chainsaw Massacre II - 1986 sequel, this uncut one is banned here stupidly
Night Train Murders - 1975 Italian rape/revenge, rip off of Last House on the Left
Seven Blood Stained Orchids - 1971 giallo from Umberto Lenzi (Cannibal Ferox)
Opera - 1987 giallo by Dario Argento, this one isn't released in Australia
Manhattan Baby - Italian rip off of The Omen directed by Lucio Fulci
The New York Ripper - Fulci's most violent film, banned 1982 smutty slasher
Satan's School For Lust - Softcore porn horror with effects by Tom Savini, I ordered this one for Connie Fixx not for me though heh.

Dennis Hopper rules in Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2! What a mad chainsaw wielding cop hahaha! One of my favourite lines:

Dennis Hopper: I AM THE LORD OF THE HARVEST! (As he runs in with his chainsaw)
Jim Seidow: The who? Don't tell me you're from one of them damn health food companies.

Then he shoves shoves his chainsaw up Jim Seidow's arse and tears it apart and Jim Seidow screams "Godammit, the small businessman ALWAYS gets it in the ass!" hahahaha!
