I swapped my 6505+ yesterday for a 6505, didnt like it.

the list says you already have a 5150 so why do you need a 6505 (since the should be the same)?

and what are those four jcm 800s?

Wow, ever hooked up as many as you can at once, cranked them up and let rip Andy?
I did that with 2 50 watter all tube half stacks and a 100 watter bass amp- all on max with an od pedal pushing even harder out front. Did it in a small bedroom- you could almost SEE the air move! I can't picture it with that many amps and cabs!

split channel 100wt, modded 100 with extra gain stage, standard 50 and I think a standard 100 also, cant remember lol.

What have you found the 6505 cabs useful for? Same speakers as the 5150 Cab right?

Also, how do you like the Fender 5150?

isn't that completely fatal for the speakers??

You'd think so, but they hold up surprisingly, lmao. They are 75 watt monitors, so I'm thinking of selling them and getting a hold of 150 watt monitors since those will have a fair bit more headroom and are far less likely to explode at high volumes.

Do you like it? did you miced it yet?
I got mine a year ago or so, but I don't like it anymore, it lacks some typical bite, it's too smooth sounding!
I have to put the mic on axis to get a decent tone, I mean it's a good thing I don't have to deal with fizz, but it is too smooth almost muffled.

theyve all got their uses, not blown away with the T2 tho, that might have to find ebay soon.
I actually really like the 6505 cabs, I'll always go with those live over a standard marshall 1960. I just plugged the Mustaine Marshall cab in also and this thing is deadly. I'm not just saying that cause Im all Megadeth'd out right now, Marshall have done a great job with this cab.

Ive got Celestion coming over on the 23rd for a bit of a speaker shootout. We are going to reamp through 16 different speakers so they can have comparisons on their website. Marshall, when they were doing this mustaine cab were talking about celestion voicing the V30s differently, so I need to find out what they've done because in theory this looks very similar to the Randall cabs I have but if definitely sounds more focused and tighter.
Not that the Randalls sound bad at all.

you go for 6505 cabs live? woo, before i bought my cab i read up a lot about the 6505 cabs and there was a lot of people slating them saying there not ballsy enough and just dont cut it so i picked up a 1960 instead. but your word is as good as gold so i might give it a go and make an investment in one.

yea randall cabs are nice. i dont understand why there not as popular as others. they should be. they certainly push a lot of air when you get them grooving. kirk uses them doesn't he? and the two ammot brothers have swapped from the 5150 to the krank (well michael only) and now there using randalls.

That will be fucking awesome dude, can't wait! How would you say the Mustaine cab and Randalls stack up against the Mesa Traditional cabs you have? Cuz spec-wise they're pretty much the same as far as I can tell (except 8 ohms total impedance rather than 16, for whatever difference that makes)

On the Mustaine cab, IIRC, the plywood is a little thinner too.

Or were they thicker? They're 15mm birch ply...
