What do Suspyre members and fans think of these bands?

If any of you not listening to prog metal as much want to get back into it, may I recommend Aeon Zen :) A project with only one permanent member, guitar/bass/keyboard player and vocalist Rich Hinks. Amongst the vocalist on the last two albums are Nils K. Rue (Pagan's Mind), Michael Eriksen (Circus Maximus) and Andi Kravljaca (Silent Call, ex-Seventh Wonder).

Also, Heavy Horses is my personal favorite by Jethro Tull, Gregg :) Should give that a spin, if you don't know it :)

Opeth: I don't really like them. Just not my thing.

Meshuggah: Not my thing either

Devin Townsend: I love his music including his work with SYL

Threshold: I've heard bits and pieces of their albums and I'm probably going to buy Extinct Instinct soon.

Savatage: I should check these guys out too

Dream Theater: Not a huge fan. I like The Glass Prison, the "jack the ripper" part of Octavarium, some synth solos in Scenes from a Memory, and I REALLY love their first album with Charlie but besides that, I think they're extremely overrated.

Zero Hour- I should check them out

Vanden Plas: I've only heard bits and pieces of their albums

OSI: I had never heard of them until today

Symphony X: They are way better than Dream Theater and V is in my opinion one of the greatest albums of all time.

I'm not too well versed in prog metal as I am in prog rock.
