What does your family/significant other think of the music you listen to?

Dad: "Operation:Mindcrime is the best thing you've listened to so far."

Sister: "I don't really think Russell is THAT hot."

Brother: "Let's watch the Star One DVD!"

Ex: "I don't think I can ever listen to SX cause you've mentioned them a billion times too many."

Grandpa: "Could you turn it down a bit dear, it's way past bedtime."

Grandma: "YEAH! LOUDER!!!"

Myn grandma's staying here for holiday and is shocked that I'm now getting into some Death metal. She thought I was turning into a depressed goth. Then I explained that I don't really like the vocals (growls) but I really love the extreem technicallity and skill of the musicians.

Grandma: I don't here any skill in going BANG BANG BANG!
Me: Ok then grandma Here is a band 'cryptopsy' and this is the guitar solo/drum solo in a song called 'phobophile'.
CD PLAYER: Meeedly meedly meedly MEEE!!! -gugagugagugaguga putputaputa ching - Meedly Meedly MEEEE!!!
Grandma: Well, ah, hmm, that was the fastest thing I've ever heard in my life, er, are you sure that isn't put through a studio machine and sped up? 'Coz kids these day, are all just relying on studio produces and the final product is nothing what they played origianlly. See like those musicians didn't play that solo at these speeds, it was sped up. Its all a marketing act, just to sell records.....In myday, what you heard is what they played..... YADDA YADDA YADDA....blablablablablabla...

I just give up with 71 year old french women...
