What if the next Nevermore cd had 3 guitar solos total.

heres a good example.. would guitar solos make Metallica's ST Anger CD any better?

If there were killer guitar solos(obviously they'd need a different guitarist)I would at least listen to it...unlike now...I've never even bothered to listen to it...no interest.

Here's an example. If I bought a Vinnie Moore(or any instrumental guitar artist)album, and the songs were great, but there was no soloing, I'd be pissed off and disappointed no matter how good the songs.

My main interest in Nevermore is Loomis...so it's just personal preference. I think he's good and shows a lot of potential to be great. I wouldn't listen to them if they didn't have a stand out guitarist, but that's just me.

indirectly you did. telling me it would be "gay" to stop listening to the band if they stopped playing solos is pretty much giving me a reason to listen or not to listen.

But I never said that you should or shouldnt, I simply gave my own oppinion, which is: if you like a band, and all of a sudden they stop playing solos, then it would be gay to just not like them anymore just because of the solos. To me it's like saying "i only listen to nevermore because loomis can solo really well" if thats the case, then it seems like you only listen to music for the guitar tracks or the solos which is really bland, theres more to music than just a good guitar player.

im recognizing the fact that Nevermore is a good band... Everyone is very good at what they do and they play together well. Loomis writes good guitar tracks, even if he cut out his solo's it's still good stuff.

I think it's gay that you constantly use the word "gay".

Yea but like the other kid said, try to listen to a NVRMR song without any guitar solos. You think the songs would still be good? "Who Decides" doesn't have a solo and that is one of the worst tracks they've ever recorded IMO. But if you like it, or think you'd still enjoy the band without any guitar solos, then more power to you.
