I aquired Kamelot's new one Epica. I'm a big fan of their last two, and this is in the same similar kind of vein.
There is nothing earth shattering to me on this new disc, but for people that liked the last two they will probably find this one quite enjoyable.
The coolest thing for me with this disc is that there are some stranger tunes, like Lunar Sanctum from T4L. LS is probably my favorite Kamelot tune, and it's pretty far out there for Kamelot. This disc has a couple tunes with some similarities.
I think for the next disc though they should look to perhaps scale back a bit on the production, and maybe go for a little different type of sound.
I don't necessarily think the past three discs sound totally alike, but they all have some similar sounds. It might be time for a change of sorts next time out.
