Some stuff I'm spinning a lot at the moment:
Metal:
Latitudes - Bleak Epiphanies In Slow Motion - Incredible instrumental band from near where I live, crushing grooves and really nice melodic stuff.
Oh Sleeper - When I Am God - Pretty cool hardcore/emo/metalcore-esque band, I'd liken them to underoath/sometimes bfmv (the good bits of bfmv).
Salt The Wound - Carnal Repercussions - Pretty standard deathcore tbh, buf if you're into scene/deathcore badns then they're pretty damn good at what they do.
The Veil of Maya - The Common Mans Collapse - Incredible.
The Agony Scene - The Darkest Red - Been around for a while, but if for some reason anyone han't checked these guys out, or has only heard stuff from their latest release, check out the darkest red, it's fucking sweet.
Sinai Beach - Immersed - Really good christian metal band. Not too preachy. Great melodies, sexy riffs, slightly weird vocals at times, but it grows on you

.
Malefice - Entities - If there is ANYONE who hasn't checked this band out, fucking do it now. They are incredible. Really tastefully technical musicianship, and I saw them live a few months ago having never heard them before, and they were the tightest band I've ever seen live.
And Their Eyes Were Bloodshot - Prologue - I hated this band when I first listened to them, but they grew on me a lot, they write catchy songs with really nice groovy riffs, and sick vocals (as long as you're into death-stlye vocals anyawy

).
Carpathian - Nothing To Lose - In the style of PWD, Aussie metalcore.
Devil Sold His Soul - A Fragile Hope - Amazing down-tempo groove-based riffing, blood-curdling vocals, and just incredibly emotion-packed atmospheric music.
Conducting From The Grave - Trails of The Forsaken - Really good band, techy riffing, somewhat in the vein of The Black Dahlia Murder.
Eternal Lord - Blessed Be This Nightmare - Top notch English death metal, really good album, check it out.
Sylosis - I'm sure everyone here has heard of this band, but just on the off chance they haven't then go listen to them. Absolutely stunningly good. Really little more I can say.
Feeling open-minded? Other:
Imogen Heap - Speak For Yourself - Fucking incredible musician great production on this record, if you're into poppy/strange/alternative/softer stuff, then check her out, hide and seek is a good song to start with.
Skindred - I guess they're a bit metally, but saw them live recently on their tour with BFMV and Still remains, and they were by far the best act of the night, completely upstaging the other two bands despite being the opening act. If you haven't heard these guys I'd highly recommend them.
The Blood Brothers - Crimes - If you like ridiculously high male vocals then this is for you. And if you don't, give it a try anyway, you might get a cheap laugh or two. I thought this band was ridiculously shite when I first heard them, but once I "got over" the insanity of the vocalist, I've learned to love 'em.
