How do you like the new Symphony X ?

Having grown up with a (prog)metal background, I love it. The songs on disc 2 are just as strong as disc 1, they should've made ALL versions of Iconoclast the 2CD edition. The album's technical as ever, the bandmembers really play their asses off from the first notice and Russell sounds amazing as usual. Heavy, dark dramatic stuff, definitely in the vein of their previous album Paradise Lost. (I know some proggers lament the turn from V's proggier leanings to The Odyssey's more metal sound, but if you liked Paradise Lost, you should like this too. I'm thrilled with it!)

I did actually hear those 2 songs and I loved them both......can't wait to hear the entire cd. Symphony X have been my favorite band since "The Damnation Game" came out. I have never been disappointed by any of their stuff....only amazed.
