While we're on this topic... Does anyone know of any information regarding the style of double bass drumming that Lopez uses. Heel up, heel down, heel-toe... I've been trying to play alot of Opeth songs, but when he gets pretty fast on the double bass I can't keep up. I don't ever want to play Nile fast on double bass but was wondering what style Lopez uses so I can at least cover some Opeth songs.

Don't know this either... but I'd say "Practice" may be a more sure fire way to duplicate his speed rather than trying to copy his foot position.
