kinda early to tell, but do you all think cob will put out another album and if so what will it be like? personaly i think they will, and also they will have no other option but to make it more intricate and no more of this straight forward stuff. i dont mind AYDY but i think its not a path they can stay on if they wanna continue to be one of the best bands out there right now. although i cant really complain about their set too much i think it would help to put a few more old songs in the future tours as well.

discuss/flame/fight/etc
 
Hate to break it to you but that's just wishful thinking, I'm pretty sure they'll continue further along the AYDY route.

For the record they played plenty of old songs last night including Lake Bodom and Touch Me Like An Angel Of Death.
 
I think you're absolutly right about the more intircate stuff. Ifthey just play it lazy because they're becoming popular then they'll get nowhere. Yeah like i was soo mad about them not playing Lake Bodom, Children Of Decadence, or like bed of razors.
 
AYDY was experimental, as they have stated themselves.

Children Of Bodom has an agreement for 3 CD's with Spinefarm. That means that at least 3 albums will come out.
 
They've been turning their image from mythical to practical, and I think that will continue.. As for the music, I think it will be more severe. Okay, AYDY is heavy, but it's still pretty soft.
 
i couldnt see them putting out 3 more albums even with the 3 album deal and i also cant see them going back to old bodom becuase if you read what alexi said AYDY is his favorite album so i would have to agree i think they will go down the AYDY route but after seeing them in philly playing their new shit i really like it live

well of course everyone has different opinions about them, but personaly i think they are one of the best and i know a lot of people would agree. but even if u disagree, ill rephrase it to if bodom doesnt want to suck, then they need to change their path. (of course now someones gonna say "i hate to break it to you but they already do suck" or something)
 
and would people actually contribute to the thread instead of just correcting everybody else and thinking they are all elite and whatnot cause they think bodom isnt good or something.
 
bodom r00lz omg. next album better be better than aydy. i think they're one of the best bands around. they should also play all of something wild on their next tour of the US
 
I'm not the one terrorizing.. I was disappointed with AYDY myself you know. The first two songs rock the house and I think they alone make it their best album, just because of the sheer attitude on the songs. Musically I missed much more melodies. Follow the Reaper would be my favourite album easily if they had used the same studio/sound as in the Hate Me! single.
