A "Maiden fan" saying they never even listened to the Blaze era albums IS bashing IMO. Whatever. Their loss. TXF is one of Maiden's best. It just needed a real studio and producer.
Blaze co-wrote MOTE with Janick. IMO it's the weakest song on TXF. It wasn't "new" like the rest of the album. The intro is too close to the Evil That Men Do too. Still a great song though.
of course you're entitled to your opinion... but it isn't enough reason to come out and call someone an idiot... because they don't agree with you. I've never really listened the the Blaze era... other than the b-sides and things like that... but I don't consider myself a basher... but to each his own I guess... I do respect Blaze and that era
Soooo why not shift emphasis to his songwriting...didn't he solely write MAN ON THE EDGE? That's a great song. (Mel converted me after singing it to me 100+ times.) I'd like to cover that one but I'm afraid most of the old school fans in the audience won't recognise it.
