WHEN did you get into Opeth?

This has probably done before, but I was wondering how many of you are original Opethians, who bought Orchid in '95.

Let me just add, I love Orchid! I am listening to that album so much now, it's just grabbed me, it literally jumped off my shelf and into my CD player (not really, but it might as well!)

I got into Opeth last December after purchasing Orchid. I had read so much about them on the Net and in various magazines, that I just had to see what all the fuss was about. Like many fans do, I ended up purchasing their entire catalogue that same week, and have been entranced ever since.

My long and rather intimate relationship with Satan has resulted in a couple of strange mental gifts, one of them being an ability to FEEL when Black Heart is doing something interesting. So in October 2000, I sensed that BH was listening to Opeth and I just HAD to download a few MP3s to see if I liked the music...and that's how it started!

(...well, to be honest, it MIGHT have been a coincidence too...)

Actually I take that back! I forgot that I heard Opeth
for the first time when "Still Life" was released,
but I didn't get into Opeth until a while later....
In april/may 2000 maybe? Can't really remember! >P
