TGCD since it is a classic for me, love it's guitar riffs and drumming

and i have to agree with the person who said the new album sounds like Jonas Renske solo album. Nevertheless it's awesome album and i listen to it everyday.

My vote goes for NitND.

If a "Jonas' solo album" sounds like that, then what the hell did him take so long to write this? ;-) Awesome work!

TGCD has more of a legacy right now with its bonus gems on the singles/eps, just like LFDGD. hopefully NitND will bear similar fruit.

i actually just relistened to the full album TGCD last night. i forgot how amazing that album is, totally blows away the new album imo.

but the new album is still cool

I personally love both, but the Great Cold Distance to me has so much depth, and to me is the best Katatonia album. I think Night is the New Day is one of the greatest albums they have made, it was a very different album in a music sense. But the Great Cold Distance is the biggest step the band ever took, sounded amazing, and the album never gets old.

The Great Cold Distance all the way.
