Maren and Andrew aside, that is simply a really bad idea. Besides, anyone (aside from Maren and Andrew, of course) who hooks up via the internet is a
FUCKING NERD who deserves it when the relationship bursts into flames

i kinda agree really. it saves the dude any chance of real rejection, because being rejected by a screenname doesnt mean shit. grow a sac, go up to a real live girl and asked her out.

i fear this is more common than i could ever imagine
especially among the generation below the youngest folks on this board. it's the current tweens and 14-16 year olds who seem like they are the weakest, geekiest, most annoying generation yet.
i didnt have the internet until '99 or something like that and didnt have a mobile phone until '02. these kids have had cable internet (or whatever is fastest) and blackberrys since age 4.
i cant stand kids.

it is real. im going to the astros game on wednesday with one of my buds and hes bringing some internet dorkgirl

well, in defense of all nerds everywhere, i bet it gets damn near impossible to find a mate when you're approaching the mid to late 20s

well hell just look at myspace. its practically a dating service for nerds
seconded. my myspace page lasted a month before i yanked it down. what a mistake that was.
i can understand the psychology behind it though; it's all about sneaking around looking at pics of chicks people would never talk to in real life or in my case, sneaking around looking at pics of chicks i dated but failed to nail

:erk:

meh, during this summer I live in my crap native town where there are like 3000 peeps and 2000 of em are all over 60 and the rest just bores the fuck out of me . I can't wait to start studying in my university again, it's not like I'm gonna find something in this shithole I'm currently in.

 dorian breaks out the ruleage yet again!

i know a couple of people who have found (without going looking for them) serious, lasting relationships online that turned into real-life partnerships. i know you old, jaded buggers have reservations about any phenomenon that came about after the prime years of your life had slipped past, but these things do work out sometimes :loco:

meh, seriously, 60 is ten years over the top but IN ALL SERIOUSNESS, a 50 year old could be pretty interesting i bet. wasnt mrs. robinson supposed to 50 or something? i mean, yeah, they have to be hot, i dont mean, go hit on your friend's fat mom.

Hell my ex-gf flew from Los Angeles to Maryland to live with some guy she met on myspace. (Literally 10 hours after our demise)

Also known co-workers who used to meet up with people from myspace and blow them as soon as the last drop of starbucks coffee hit their lips.

Cyberpimping, myspacebrotheling, aolchatroomromping. It's all fucking pathetic. Bitches who put up decent photgraphs that only take up about 1 percentile of every 10000 pictures snapped, luring some testosterone raged ogre in for a masquerade of masterbatory subordination. Fuck it ALL!!!

one of my old highschool friends met his girl on Everquest... how fucking nerdy is that?

i think they still play WoW together. she's from chicago, he's from toronto. she drove up here to hang out for a week... he never mentioned if anything fun came out of it so i'm guessing not

hahahaha wow.

I've done the internet dating thing once or twice, I don't think it's a big deal really, it's not much different than going to Lowered Expectations or something.

No, current woman is not an e-bint. Although I met her in person, then months later began stalking her on the internet before asking her out. :goggly:
