it ruins an album imo if they are used too much and Nevermore is too intellectual, and above most bands, to use such garbage.

I mean fuck , check out that fucking piece of trash by Slayer, God Hates Us All...that album is horrible, not only because the arrangements are pure shit , but because the lyrics are mostly meaningless swears.

You know, i have to agree with you PG. When Ifirst got GnR Use YOur Illusion, I really like get in th eribg an da few others, but since (1992 or wheneevr it came out), The songs just arent as, well.......just not the same due to the hammerd swear words. DOnt get me wrong, to curse is ok, but it does go to far at times.

the one Narrot mentioned is the only swear i know of in Nevermore, that bieng "all the political whores only come out after dark".
Warrel is too intelligent and intellectual to use swear words in his songs. It's just not the Nevermore/Warrel Dane way.
Warrel does swear though, like at shows and stuff.
Now, i'm not saying swearing is bad because I actually have a bad case of cursing, I swear ALOT and I go all out, but that doesn't sa y anything about the prson. alot of people get bad ideas about me because i swear alot. but i'm really not i swear!!!

I think the use of foul language and swearing is alright. Also, I think it might be sometimes necessary to cuss in order to get a message across with conviction because some people in this world are really "FUCKING" stupid. I can see were someone may think Phil from Pantera or Tom from Slayer may curse to much, but to me there just going with the flow and the emotion of the music in order to get the point or vibe across. I've heard Warrell cuss a few times live, but just because a person curses in his/her lyrics doesn't mean they're any less intelligent than those who don't cuss. Example: Mike Muir of Suicidal Tendencies/Infectious Grooves/ Cyco Miko. This man is very intelligent and writes poetry, but also curses quite often. My favorite lyrics from him are from the Suicidal Tendencies album LIGHTS, CAMERA, REVOLUTION and the song "You Can't Bring Me Down". I don't know the words exactly but he says something like, "sometimes maybe I feel like shit. I'm not happy about it, but I'd rather feel like shit than be full of shit." Another line he says, "Crazy, you call me Crazy? You wouldn't know what fucking crazy was if fucking Charles Manson was eating Fruit Loops on your front Porch." And last but not least, " Did I offend you? Well maybe you needed to be offended. Heres my apology and one more thing, FUCK YOU".
