Will AKERFELDT help write music on the next album?

I can see headlines now...

Elite Death Metal Band Bloodbath to Release Accoustic Folk Album Entitled "Devouring the Bones of Christ"

j/k, I think Mike could write some sweet ass shit for Bloodbath if he wanted.

This is a pointless thread, they just released an album they don't know what the deal will be with the next.
Let's all pray to satan it's not an acoustic folk album haha

lol

Hum....I'm not sure Mike would even be into writing this style of music. To be honest, he's not really needed, the others are doing fine without him.

One song would be fine, or a couple of riffs, the riff he did for Ominous Bloodvomit was sweet, so I don't see why not.. if all the members agree it's good.

I can see him writing a straight up Death metal tune. I just cannot see him writing anything that is not going towards Opeth. I saw a recent interview where he basically said that he would never take up any of his time to contribute to Bloodbath except for doing the vocals.

he did write some lyrics for the Fathomless Mastery. And otherwise...he wouldn't anyway because of lack of time and the others are doing fine without him, if anything they should ask Dan to write them some riffs :p

my guess is that he won't, but it could turn out cool.

Plus uno.

Mike has written some killer DM riffs/parts to Opeth which would not be out of place for Bloodbath, but he's so damn focused on Opeth now that I don't see him contributing much at all for Bloodbath's song writing.
But it would be fun to hear a song or two from his pen/axe...or from Dan as someone else mentioned. [sensitive/serious readers stop reading here] And why not other guest contributors, why not make a whole guest Bloodbath album? Like Dave Grohl's Probot, where he emulated many different bands, but this would be the opposite, many different songwriters emulate Bloodbath? It'd be like a cover-but-not-really album! :zombie: :Smokin: o_O [opting out]

Here're a few that come to mind:

Heir Apparent, 1:20
Master's Apprentices, opening riff
By the Pain I See in Others, 1:58
Deliverance, 0:25
The Grand Conjuration, 2:03
The Grand Conjuration, 4:21-5:10
