Will Borknagar ever play in the United States...?

The fact that they sell Quintessence and sometimes Empiricism in Best Buy makes me confident that they have a decent number of American fans. I'm guessing they've never toured here before? We really need to get more bands over here. Blind Guardian is pretty big here and they just came over for the first time a few months ago.

Yes, they've tourned over here with Emperor before. And they sell Quintessence and Empiricism all over the place here...Best Buy, FYE, somwhere I can't remember the name, ect.

Because Millwuakkee Metalfest was 2 weeks after with Opeth, Enslaved, Mayhem, Katatonia, Children Of Bodom, Anathema, Rain Fell Within, and such and such and so forth, and already had plans for that. Couldn't afford 2 trips there or I would have. How fuckin' sad. :erk:
Wish they would have came to these woods though.:ill:

I wish Borknagar would come to the US but I'm not sure they have the fan base. They couldn't come as a headliner but definately opening for someone or maybe get a spot on, yes i'm about to say it, Ozzfest. Hey atleast Ozzfest is a lot of exposure.

I would be cool if they did a tour, but I live in a barren wasteland close to nowhere. Closest they would get to me is Chicago, which is 6 hours drive for me. So I'm not sure that I'd be able to make it anyway. Now if they could make it to St. Louis that might be more feasable.

Yeah,I think a great line up for U.S. would be Borknagar,Vintersorg and Blind Guardian but extremely unlikely. Not sure who would headline either.
Yeah, when I saw blind Guardian a few months back in Detroit the turn-out was really small, maybe a couple hundred at most and the same from a buddy who saw them in Rochester..Twice
Americans know no real music. They have been consumed by commercialism, sequencers, mixers and mtv..How sad.

I was at the South Carolina show. I'd love to see Borknagar come back, especially with Mr V fronting the band since I've been a fan of his vocals since Hedniskhjärtad. That's a show I'd take a road trip for and I HATE road trips.:Spin:

I HAVE to see Borknagar with Vintersorg as frontman..I must. Borknagar is one of my favorites and Vintersorg is one of my favorite vocalist. I doubt they'll come to New York, but I'll keep hoping.

Blind Guardian sold out when I saw them in Southern California a while back. Anyway a lot has changed in America since 1999. Metal is slowing but surely becoming more popular albeit with often crappy nu-metal bands. Either way I think the turn out would be better.

the states are hard for anyone to tour in as we are so much larger than european countries and we are so spread out. that is usually why bands might only have a 10 or so show tour schedule. they will hit all the major cities where the crowds are more likely, if not from those cities but also including people who are willing to road trip to those cities. that is what happens when opeth hits here in phoenix(a hit and miss city when it comes to concert crowdsize). people will come here from all over arizona, new mexico and other neighboring states as Cali is only other state around here they will come to play. Only the bands like In flames that are so close to mainstream now can get on those big tours that hit every hillbilly city in good ole Kansas :)

year '99 i drove 2 and half hours to see Borknagar, to be greeted with a large group of angry metalheads and a sign that read: show cancelled-Emperor sick with the flu. :hotjump::yell:. Jerks!!!!
