WoW!!

Damn Armory still doesn't give anything more than an error on my char...Ctprofiles would be great anyway but most of my gear isn't uploaded there.

Oh well, I really like my new gun.

Hoorah. Bringin this back to keep down the clutter.

Forgot how much fun pvp was. Did some WSG last night with the fiance and a rogue friend, and just about slaughtered, at only lvl 64. I chalk it up to people still not knowing what to do against silencing shot, and putting Cobra Reflexes on my new Ravager pvp pet.

I'll probably wind up hitting some instances tomorrow and Sunday morning. Probably some C.R.: Slave Pens or Underbog, just because I don't like running instances that I might be on the low side for if I have no idea what I'm doing in them.

One note - instances seem to be a hell of a lot better in Outlands, and in general the zones are much much better.

Plintus, new targets for ya. Evilemperor (me), 64 troll hunter (mm); Evilempress (her), 64 troll shaman (resto); Trikexus (ex-me, now my brother), 59 undead priest (shadow); Empressive (ex-her, now me), 59 undead warrior (prot); Awesomenemy (her), 38 mage (frost); Absolutenemy (me), 36 warlock (affliction).

You'll probably eventually bump into them in a BG or Arena at some point.

So, who all has hit 70 so far, and what are you up to?

We're at 65/66 with our hunter/shaman combo - probably shooting for 70 by this weekend - and 45/49 on the lock/mage combo.

There's been some talk of trying Karazhan once we all hit 70, but knowing our group, we'll probably just hit up the arenas. Been running into a lot of little kiddies in instances recently, and it's pissing her off big-time. She had a priest last night in Mana-Tombs that ridiculed her for speccing resto, then did nothing but spam [insert name of that healing spell that jumps from person to person] the whole run just to top the healing charts his friend had up. Forget the fact that he was healing the rogue, and that the tank routinely dropped below 30% before she had to take over healing for the priest.

In any case, leveling the 59 warrior with full rest xp in Outlands is a breeze - easily getting 1200xp per kill.

It's really hard to solo mage, in opposite to warrior :(

My 66 hunter gets around 1k per kill on full rest in the Outland.

I was just about to call it a night at 2 AM when someone called me for Underbog. Best group EVER. 70 paladin was tanking, I was 2nd in damage dealing (bested 70 LVL warrior). Actually, 2 paladins, 1 Warrior, 1 hunter and 1 priest were optimal, levels were kind of high, too, but we had very few deaths throughout, best healing ever. no good drops for me though (or any at all), but I discovered for the first time, that while herbing you can get necklaces - I've got 2 in Ancient Lichen... woot!

I tried several classes, and must say that hunter is the most fun to play, mages are ahrd, warrior is too repetitive, rogue is just slow leveling or I don't have taste for it or whatever.

Pushing 67 this week. I think I have the best gear - almost 8K of health without buffs and half that in mana at level 66, 500+ in damage both melee and ranged, 1000+ critical damage, maxed herbalism and closing on 375 in Alchemy.

Now need that Tier 6 Armor set, which is SWEET.

Nice stuff - lost out on some nice shoulders last night in a Slave Pens run. I'm not at the best gear right now, as I've mostly just been questing, but we're going to switch over to just instancing for a while, so I should catch up easily. I'm going to grab the re-colored versions of the Dungeon 1 set from the non-heroics first on my way to 70, then I'll start on Kara attunement. We've got a couple of guys who have done it before, so it shouldn't be too much of an issue.

Quarter of the way through 66 right now - I'm thinking once we hit 70, we'll have to face off, plin - hopefully your new comp runs PvP a bit better?

I have a new rig, GeForce 7950GT and 3GBs of RAM, so no excuses. Is there any way to schedule/organize this stuff, mind different servers?

Not really. I mean, if we were in communication somehow, the #'s of the battlegrounds would be the same (i.e., "You can now enter Arathi Basin #7" or somesuch), but there's no guarantee we'd wind up getting into the same BG's. It would be cool if the arenas went cross-server, but I'm not sure that they do. In any case, we have some time until 70.

And damn... my skinning is maxed out, but I'm only at 325 enchanting right now. I'm trying to level it and hold out for better gear to enchant. So torn.

Halfofftopic:
My Diablo 2 LoD Assassin got her 66th level today and I found Bartuc's Cut Throat (very awesome claw). I am not playing on the battle.net, just tcp/ip with some friends. If everything goes well I'll kill Baal on Nightmare tonight (just did the ancients). Anyone else still playing D2?

I messed around with D2 for a while, but just the single-player.

On the Black Temple... uh, yeah :p The stuff from there is so incredibly wicked, though. I've gotten the ok to start raiding once she has her mage at 70, though, so I'm a little happy about that.

In PvP, I'm not sure which of us would win. At 60, my money would have been all on myself. I've not played alot of PvP with my hunter since then, though, because of the warlock, and my favorite pet is still my tanking pet. It basically boils down to your damage mitigation. If I'm routinely critting people for 1k+ shots (up to 2k sometimes for multi), it's all a matter of how quickly they can deadzone me, if at all. I know my limitations, and I know I absolutely suck at getting away once I've been stunned. Druids in catform can rip me to pieces for this reason if they get the jump on me. But at the same time, if we start at 41 paces, and I know you're out there, you're dead. Cept for you and your damn Survival traps/Wingclip. Things will get very messy.

Oh yeah, it's gona be a mess :heh:

Bloody gore with troll pieces in it :heh: Will be interesting to see Survival VS Marksmanship

4 bubbles before 67, just ventured into Nagrand.

I expect D3 to be announced at BlizzCon.

There was said that there will be a MAJOR announcement, and it's NOT SC2, BETA keys will be issued and stuff.

GHOST? Likely, but intelligence points to Diablo.

9M in WoW, and I'm lvl 67.

p.s. You won't see me coming :heh:

They have two teams (Actually I think it's three now because of WoW. One for the ...craft games (currently working on Starcraft 2) and the other one which has always done the Diablo games and no one knows what they are working on. Hope it is D3 and I hope it will be as great as D2. Another sign could be that they just restarted the D2 ladder after I think 2 years of not doing so. I just don't know if that is a sign that something new will come soon or just a way of keeping the players happy because nothing new will come.
Assassin is 67 now and finished nightmare yesterday. She is a melee char with two claws majoring in the shadow disciplines skill tree. Standard attack is Dragon Claw. I hope I will hit 70 today but I will probably have a bbc with some friends tonight so there won't be much time.

Yeah, and they've been hiring people for diablo team some time ago, so...

I've been getting some decent gear from a couple of runs we've done recently. I think of the level-appropriate instances, I've done a full run of all but Mana Tombs, mostly because the one run I did fell apart after it became painfully obvious that the other hunter had no idea what he was doing.

But, I pvp'ed some more last night, and damn do I miss it. WSG is always a blast to see if I can kill the druid before he makes it to his tunnel, or before his friends beat me to a pulp. AB is fun just for fucking with people. Seriously. No offense to you, plintus, but the alliance is populated by idiots. I can't count the number of times Eagle Eye has provided me with endless entertainment. (Explanation: Stand at Lumber Mill. Look at Blacksmith. Activate Eagle Eye, center it on Blacksmith flag. Watch as Eagle Eye directly mimics the animation for trying to capture the node. Watch as the alliance run around for minutes on end trying to find/stop the Horde character who has still not managed to capture the node, despite having been doing so for said minutes.) That, and (twice on the same guy, no less) I managed to feign death a total of four times yesterday in a single AB, and fool alliance into thinking I was dead. I'll give them a break on one of them, as I was almost dead, and my pet was dead. However, when I'm at full health, and my pet is fighting your friend not 15' away, and after you charge me I fall to the ground, I am not dead. Your charge did not kill me. So when I pop back up as you run away, don't look surprised as you die.

Still a bit away from 67 (about 5 bubbles), but I've only been doing about 1 run a night, and little to no questing, so that should change this weekend. I'm looking at 68 by Sunday night.

I have now been off WoW for about a week, not missing it at all, after leveling
a rogue and a mage to 70, I can say it was not a pleasure. The game got so
fucked up after BC that it's not really the same game anymore.

Anyway, I don't wanna bore you with a 60 page list of faults in the game, so I
will just say I went back to EVE Online and I'm happy there.

Soon Age Of Conan and Warhammer Online are coming out as well. WoW will die
when they come, all the PvPer (like me) will move to a game actually designed
for PvP from the ground up, in WoW PvP was added as a last minute thing cos
Blizzard wanted more money, the greedy little fucks.

It's virtually impossible for me to stick to any other MMORPG. I'll check Conan out, but Guild Wars, Star Wars, Dark Age of Camelot, LotR - they never were that big to me as WoW. CS:Source is a tad of an exception, since I found a deathmatch server :heh:

First raid last night (AQ), kinda started late, so people were leaving when we couldn't kill one of the bosses... was fun though - this guild I'm currently in is quite well organized.

No offense to you, plintus, but the alliance is populated by idiots.

It's alternative toons for players, whose main is Horde, so it's OK :heh:

Haha. I really have to level up and hit some raids. Damn alliance have too much Stamina. Still can't kill me for shit, but it's getting too hard to kill them.

Looks more and more like we're headed to Kara once everyone hits 70 and can get keyed up. My main issue now is just finding groups for instances. There seems to be a great dearth of tanks on our server, warriors in particular. Surprisingly I see lots of healers around. It's a little confusing. I'm thinking of leveling up the warrior we have pretty soon, just because it's basically a guaranteed group.

And I honestly don't think that there will be a mass exodus from WoW. Ever. It will of course, diminish in time, much as EQ did, but I can't imagine a single other game (and yes, I've been watching the new ones up and coming) that will singlehandedly, or even in a 5-man, take down WoW.
