WoW!!

Yes, it ws the context, yeah :heh: But if I ever gona play Horde - only cuz of Blood Elves.

Remember. Destromath.

And don't roll horde just because of them. Roll Horde because we're superior in every way.

With those box-office figures they will twist it to Saw VII, trust me :) Just look at this - it's laying golden eggs!

Actually, they announced at the premier for Saw III that Saw IV will be coming out on Halloween '07. Supposedly, it's going to the be the last one. And the basically set up for it at the end of Saw III anyway.

Oh yeah, and not to post right after myself, but BE's are fine for the horde as far as I'm concerned. Just found out there's a BE NPC that came in with the new patch, who gives you a quest to go defile Uther's tomb. Just for fun.

Now thats the kind of evil I'm talking about.

Well, I finally decided to quit this game until BC (and if they don't change a lot
of their current fuckups, like CS GCD, I won't continue then either) the patch
has brought so many bugs and balance issue to the game that I don't see any
reason to continue right now. Not to mention Decursive is dead, which means
40 man raids and curses is a lot of fun now, as a mage, I don't wanna think of
that at all. Bring on the WAR!

Just as an aside, I'm not sure what CS GCD means.

Also, I've heard a lot about this whole decursive thing. It's been quite some time since I've played my old priest, and I never made it to the 40 mans with him, so I can't really speak from experience, but I've heard basically two points of view on this. I don't think anyone really argues that Decursive was a necessity, but rather some see it as a crutch, and others as a valuable tool to help minimize the amount of time spent doing an otherwise boring task. I can understand both sides on this, and I think I know where you stand. My guess is that the move to 25 man raids should take most of the burden off in this regard, but that logic in itself exposes the only flaw I can find with the game right now. (Maybe that's because I play a hunter. )

It seems like a lot of the design changes that Blizzard has made to the game right now fall along the lines of 'Yeah, it doesn't look too pretty right now, but hey, when you get BC, it's gonna solve everything.' Now, I plan on getting BC. But basically, this response is making me think that they basically broke the game from 55-60 to make it infinitely more playable from 60-70. I can't really see how that's a good design strategy, and after thinking it over, I really have to agree with the people who say that it's come down to X-Pac or quit.

EDIT: Counterspell Global Cooldown. Got it. :)

My gf actually decided to play for a bit over her winter break, to give us something to do together while she's up there during the week, and I'm down here. Should be interesting, as she just hopped back in on her shaman and specced out totally resto again. And kicked ass in her first AV and WSG back. It's gonna be interesting.

This resetting of th etalent points just made me spend them on shite I don't need... poor choice, can't wait to get another reset for my hunter - I spent everythign on "Survival"... ouch.

Gives me a month to level to 60 before the expansion comes out.

I just flinched. Really badly. People are wondering if I'm in pain now.

Really, I feel for you. I went mostly MM spec. Silencing shot was super-fun for the first week. Casters just stood there, confused.

Yeah, my bro is trying to level up my old priest from 55->60. Although, I've heard that Outlands only requires level 58 to go through the dark portal.

I have always played my Hunter fully MM, i like shooting and high dps. Im lvl 52 now and leveling up takes forever, i got somehow fed up with the game lately, i dont play for more then 2 hours a day now and i used to play for like 5-6 hours at first. It all comes down to killing these and gathering that, alterac valey rules though even though usually i have to wait for 40 min to get in.

...alterac valey rules though even though usually i have to wait for 40 min to get in.

Lemme guess... alliance?

My queue times for the battlegrounds are no longer than 20 seconds. Ever.

And MM isn't too bad a spec for leveling now (as opposed to BM)- pets seem to be holding aggro a bit better than they used to, especially if you specced Go For the Throat.

~kov.

Yeah i play Alliance, i dont know why i have to wait for such a long time, it makes playing several BG in a row impossible.
I dont have Go for the throat but i dont have a problem with the pet holding aggro, usually mobs take a short time to die and i DO inflict massive damage :) I think that BM is boring and lame :)

I agree on BM. But go for the throat is fun just to see warriors lose aggro to my pet.

The reason I asked about alliance is that the faction imbalance (so many more alliance than horde) means that you have 2-3 alliance waiting to queue up against the same horde player at any given time. So in an oversimplified example, I'd fight you, then two others before you'd fight me again. It makes for easier honor gains for the horde, I'll admit.

I'm torn on the effect this new honor system is having on the battlegrounds. I'm just happy I got my warlord helm. It's the only armor slot I really needed to replace badly. Now I just have to somehow earn the 540g to buy my 150 riding skill for my epic pvp mount :(

We were ALWAYS outnumbered by Horde when playing lower level battlegrounds, so that's a bunch of bull, at least on Spinebreaker.

Well, imbalances at different levels and on different servers may vary, but across the board it's somewhere between 1.5:1 and 2:1 in favor of alliance. It really stands out in the lvl 60 brackets.

Also, that doesn't take into account people signing up for the BG, and then not joining it, which causes the in-BG number differences.

From the standpoint of the queue alone, AV is normally 10-20 seconds for me, and the others might be 20-30 seconds, depending.

well i see your point , and beeing Alliance when it comes to BG sucks in my opinion because we always loose in WSG and AB and although we usually win in AV we need to wait for 40 min to join. This as i see it, results in Horde players getting lots of honor points much faster than we do. I don't know but i feel somehow disappointed by BG and the whole honor stuff and at the beginning i was hoping to get a PVP set for my character.
Also i think that my server is pretty lame ( I play on Laughing Skull) because most of the players are lvl60s or are just starting and finding a group for a character around 50lvl is a very boring and slow procedure, when you add the new LFG tool to all this you get waiting for hours for a fucking Zul'Farrak instance group :( The game is loosing its lure in my opinion.

Well, I'm just pvp'ing in AV and the rest to replace a couple of items (like my crap hat, and to get my epic mount - which I was one rank away from back in the day before I quit for a few months and lost all that progress...), and to pass the time until I can enter the arenas.

When the expansion first comes out, though, I'm torn as to what to do first... I want to level my main to 70, and I want to make a new BE character, but I know that Outlands and the new starting zones will be absolutely packed. Considering that for each realm, those areas are all on the same server (much as Azeroth and Kalimdor are on seperate servers for each realm) I'm expecting that server to crash about every 5 minutes or so. Kinda like how Kalimdor did during the AQ gate opening ceremonies.

I'm making this a new post because I'm annoying like that.

I also wanted to blame Sal for not getting any work done anymore, thanks to worldofraids.com . It's all your fault. Really.

The reason I'm posting again, though, is that having just checked the above site, I'm having a inner conflict here. I've long been a PvP advocate - hell, I just stated above that I was planning on really hitting the arenas (as well as those really sweet looking World PvP sites). Then I saw the whole attunement bit for the Caverns of Time: Battle of Hyjal instance. I may never get in there. But for once, Blizzard has thrown a PvE grind at me (aside from the Timbermaws and their delicious agility enchants) that actually holds my interest and may actually convince me to join a halfway decent end-game raiding guild.

Why this irks me is that I have a limited amount of game time every day. This will shrink further once I head up to Boston. I probably won't be able to PvP and raid. And its that choice that's killin me.

~kov.

I have enough time, cuz I play at night: semi-daily, usually finish around 1-2 am if I feel like it :D I mean - you have to choose between social life and nerd existence. Tough shit, eh?

Staying on topic: I'm not really sure I understand all the honor attractiveness, I mean - does it really provide anything useful besides lame honor points? I heard you could buy cool shtuff with getting it (arenas or what?), but how cool all that gear is? And what's an epic mount?

Also - has anyone ever used Hurricane bow? I'm raving about it last 6 months, first not being able to buy it and now I can't find it anywhere.

What's with all jewelcrafting things (kits, patterns) - has this skill already arrived, or they preparing the world for expansion?
