What amazes me is that some sites have this reviewed already.
I started to write a review the other day, got half a sentence in before saying "Hmmph. Too soon." :dopey:

Neurosis and Tool are not immediate bands in any way shape or form, but I do consider them a bit similar in style. Scald is another one that took awhile for me to really enjoy, and speaking of them, where's the new album Paul?!?!? :)

I've still not come round to Neurosis (and am probably the only person on this forum who has difficulty getting into them). I suppose they take some effort and volume too.

Definitely one of the hardest/rewarding band. Enemy of the Sun = :zombie: . Sure I enjoyed them before but now I see clearer and I think they're not far from being the most important band of the 90's (didn't say best). None of their last 6 is below 8 or 8.5/10.

From Isis to Kayo Dot, all influenced by them.

Right in Two is fanfuckingtabulous though

Yeah good closer , before the real outro.. I see Lustmord is responsible for the noises in 10,000 days (wings pt. 2) , don't you think he might have participated in Viginti Tres too? Some sections sound like "Metavoid"

Dev is cool because he likes Viginti Tres. :)

You're totally right about Right In Two by the way, I have a feeling that will be THE song from the album in the coming weeks. The intro that Adam does... jesus.

I've not heard it. Can I paypal you some cash for a copy?

go to the 'take' page and right click the track titles....wee buns
we were doing it on cdr for £3 but I think all the covers are gone now

I'd like to get all this old stuff remastered and re-released as an anthology by the end of the year, but I want to do it quite elaborately and it won't be cheap

I'll be interested to see what you think of it
its pretty thrashy, maybe the only scald I'd recomend to tully

bear in mind that the recording is near 10 years old now and some of the songs go back to 93, one is even reworked from 1990

:headbang: is all I can say.

:headbang: ?
its more elequent than most comments we get Adrian
good job I'm sober and realised this is a tool thread or that could have turned into a monsterous ramble :kickass:
I'll save it for a scald thread when I get the date...

meanwhile Right in Two is starting to really kick in with me also
its another very multi level track that reveals layers at different volumes:Smokin:

I'm quite unhappy about never seeing tool live:cry:

What's the best song to introduce someone to Tool?

Can't be more than 7 ~ minutes I guess.

I thought about The Patient or something from AEnima. Thoughts?
