Except that doesn't explain anything... If you were picking ten really good (good enough that you can assert open evenhandedly that they're 'better than yours') albums, why would you pick some of the weaker releases by the bands in question? Seems like it'd pretty easy to trump those by retaliating with, you know, the better releases by those bands.

In fact I don't think the order of his list has anything to do with my point. Regardless of what you choose for number 1 or 2 or whatever on your list, including a release on your top ten implies that you think it's better than one NOT in your top ten, yeah?
