I just got a Roland RE-501. For 100 Euros in an antique shop in old town. Someone spliced a cassette tape and stuck it in there. Oh brother. But the motor still works. That'll be 90 Australian smackers to bring back to prime condition so I'm not phased

I don't think so, it's just an old JCM900 1960 with G12T-75's... still, a decent cab for the studio.

Sounds like a valve state with a beefed-up low-end.

It does sounds good. Just missing that resonance/air thing. At least on my macbook.

It should sound good on leads or mixed with other amps.

Thanks. Could be the fact that that's through an impulse. Planning to order a Recto cab this week, though.

Yes, that's really disappointing. It's pretty cool on bass with the emulated cab output though.

Yeah I've had a few of the Blackstar pedals and hated em all. :/ Their amps are still cool though.

The HT-Dual was quite ok. At least with cabimpulses and better than ampsims. But other than that? Nothing of what I have heard have impressed me.
