Also picked up a Pedaltrain 2, some Remo Ambassador Reso heads, some headphone extension cables and some adaptors. PR40 also arrived :)

Fractal R4 in black. No window, no stupid shitty lights, minimal branding. It's dead simple, I just put a small Apple sticker on the bottom corner (like where you'd see "Intel Inside" stickers on a PC) to be cheeky.

The power light is a blue ring around the power button... probably going to gaff-tape over it or see if I can't disconnect half of it or something stupid. It's not terrible but I'd prefer something like white.

I got the smaller model pc chassi, the fractal design - define mini.
Love it! Nice discrete design, easy to build in, two included fans with fan speed controller, dust filters + a decent included sound absorbing interior. I got low noice components installed and it's dead quiet! With those features I think these fractal design chassis are the best bang for the buck. Sometimes I put tape over the blue led ring.

I also built a new computer a couple of months ago, using an R4, and I might add that I absolutely LOATHE blue LEDs. If you do a google search you get results from people who have successfully changed their LEDs, which is what I plan to do as well. I'll go for a red one.

Does anyone know if it's ok to go for a lower voltage rating with the new LED? I saw someone mention that you should use a 3.3V, but if I can use one with a lower rating it'll be much easier for me to source that locally.

EDIT: Just changed the LED. Didn't bother with adding any resistor, just changed it straight to red. Worked like a charm.

Thoughts? I've been thinking of getting one of these to track guitar.

If all you're tracking is guitar then may I suggest the Native Instruments Komplete 6.

I've used the focus rite scarlets and I think the NI sounds better and is built better. Do you really need 18 inputs for tracking guitar?

I guess not, but I'm not very familiar with this kind of equipment.

TSE X50v2!

Next up will probably be the Joey Sturgis gain reduction and then refx nexus and NI komplete. I also need a new 8 string (will be selling my current one) and also a new DAW!

Why would you need ReFX Nexus and its nearly completely unmodifiable presets unless you are David Guetta?

Got a Vox NT50 head as payment for a session yesterday.
Haven't fully decided if I will keep it or sell it on.
Amazing clean sound with unmistakable Vox flavour.
The drive channel is very fat but not very tight.
I am going to try it with a punk band later this week.
If it works I will keep it.
