Dark Tranquillity is awesome... but once the singer, can't remember his name right now, stopped singing, i haven't liked it as much. Character is one of their better albums, a hell of a lot better than Damage Done... but if he would have sang at ALL on it, i'd say it would have been their best to date.

The Gallery, Projector, and Character are my recommendations for DT. all are different styles though.

Other than that: I agree with Will and Max: Dark Tranquility OWNS.
I say get every album you can have, except Damage Plane and Haven (aweful albums) but the rest- GREAT.

I also think you should check early Soilwork.

Yea i ahve the entire Soilwork Collection and everything before The last 2 were pretty bad ass. i heard one of the guitarists left s im guessing thats the reason the new shit id alot "Lighter"
