To be fair I would probably have had him as the 6th guy, he is a good defenceman.

Karlsson - Kronwall
OEL - Hjalmarsson
Edler - Enström (right before Brodin, Hedman or Oduya)

I think some players simply do not give a damn if there's no money involved. He probably just wants a three week vacation.

From what I've heard from some Jets fans, he hasn't been as good the past few years, so some guys could have past him up.

... I totally forgot about Karlsson.

This year he's completely dropped the ball, last year he was ripping it up until he got hurt, never the same once he returned.

Are you kidding, Murray sucks and shouldn't be anyway near an Olympic team. He already has a hard time keeping up with other skaters on small ice, he would be a catastrohpy on big ice. You also don't need as much toughness in the Olympics as mostly skill players are there.
 
Jeezus, we need an Olympics thread. Who gives a shit right now!? Just let me know when USA plays Canada.;)

Murray is still enough good. Don't need toughness you say? Yeah why hit Canada and Russian's players who are a threat to us when we can just use some stick work and let them feel welcome to our zone instead of hitting them and show that they do not belong in our zone. Murray got under the skin of the Russian few years back which ended with that even Kovalchuck dropped the gloves. I think that he should have a spot or be the 7th player that play certain games.

Replacing Brodin or Hedman with Murray to get rougher makes as much sense as USA replacing Bobby Ryan with George Parros. We already have Kronwall and Edler who can throw hits, and if we need a 7th guy with physical play I'd much rather take Jonathan Ericsson since he can actually play hockey too.
 
Just caught wind of the Flyers brawl lastnite...theyre a f'in joke! Atleast thier idiot fans had something to cheer about as their team was getting their asses kicked 7-0! I think there were some rather serious injuries that came out of that ordeal?

Ill get back to something that reflects a more skillful light. Nucks are retiring P. Bure's # tonite. Long before I hated the Nucks...I did sort of root for them. Bure was one the more skillful and enjoyable players to watch back then.

Yeah I watched that game. Emery jumping on Holtby who didn't want to fight is just ridiculous. Just because he played like shit and couldn't save easy shots that he should have been able to do.

Murray's hits >>> Ericsson's hits. I would let Murray play instead of Brodin certain games like against Canada. Murray are no point scorer like Brodin but that's what we have forwards for. I rather go with 6 defense men who are good in their own zone than one that is good in offense. I believe if we play Murray he will do big hits which will get under the skin of the opponents.
