A Day To Remember - What Seperates Me From You

Would love to know what kind of models you're digging in Amplitube -

For some reason, the "peach fuzz" preset (with some tweaks to the stomp setting) seems to do the trick. Its got a nasty "fuzzy" upper midrange that (when mixed with the original guitar) phase cancels with the nasty midrange of the other amp, and you're left with a smooth sound. The lower mid of the peach fuzz sound is rather clean, which enhances the clarity of the overall tone.
good luck

I think im me... ?? maybe?
Every once in a while, you gotta pop in when people half way around the world have you in a virtual headlock.

Hahahaha cyber bashing is a bitch huh?

I think the album is great dude, I just think the guitar tone needed to fit in both the punky and heavy bits. It suits the punky bits really nicely, but when it gets heavy/breakdowny it just lacks any aggression.

But who am I? Nobody...

Honestly keep doing what you love man!

Its all good! You guys only have the final CD to make your decisions on. No one knows (besides the people involved) that the budget for the singles allowed for 2 days per song... my budget allowed for 2 SONGS PER DAY. At a certain point you just have to make sure that everything is in the ballpark and just go with it.
At that speed, we're just lucky that there werent any major catastrophes. :kickass:

Meh, I think heavier mixes make poppier bands sound better.
IMHO Paramore has a pretty heavy/metal type mix
Same goes for bands like My American Heart, Tides of Man, ect ect

Ehh, the rhythm guitars in a lot of Paramore stuff (mostly speaking of the last two albums, as the first album has production all over the place with several different mixers/producers/engineers) is not quite up front enough to exactly say it has a "metal type" mix.
Really hate that aspect, I really would prefer if the vocals weren't so dominating in the choruses and the guitars would drive it along a bit more.
Would probably make it sound bigger that way too.
I doubt the casual listener would notice if the guitars were more up front in the choruses than what they are, but I don't run the game and mix the stuff, heh.

to be fair, in the second half of the cd I couldnt pick out the bendeth songs imidiately.
you did a great job with the punk songs!!!
the thing about the guitars you told us realy explained it to me.

keep up the good work

Ah fair enough, didn't know the entire thing was on MySpace. Fuckit, I'll admit to having downloaded it before it was released - my preorder wasn't delivered until yesterday and I paid like 2 months ago.
