A new, sober, thread about single malt scotch whisky thread.

I've never tried any single malt with the "Glen-" prefix on the name.

Call it one of those irrational aversions. Some day I'll get around to 'em.

I tried a mini bottle of some Caol Isla malt in a tasting pack along with Talisker 10 year and something else... thought it was prtty nice indeed! But it has been a long time

off-topic: I think I'm warming up to this Buffalo Trace bourbon.

Yeah its warming me up really nicely right now.

I have come to love bourbon as of late... I think I may need to explore it further.

At the moment, however, in sacrilege, I'm drinking tequila.

the only 100% de agave tequila I've tried was Herradurra Reposado. I'm convinced I'd like an Anejo a lot more because ageing in general works for me as a rule.

Any brand I should be buying?

Herradura is good, in truth. And I do prefer Anejo for them. Cabo Wabo is actually decent, but my favorite is Don Julio.

Liquor is so fucking cheap here in California, I think im picking up 1.75l of Maker's for $40 ... Less than the 750ml costs at home. Unless I see one of these here brands I never find up in the Great White North.

wonder how this is? only 15 bucks for 1l [/cheapbastard]
