I finally found this at a price that seemed reasonable enough to give it a shot.

I'm not sure if it's the single-grain approach I find displeasing or something more. Either way, I'm going to have a tough time finishing even this 375ml.

i had their new york corn whiskey and i thought it was awesome. super expensive though. never tried any of the other stuff, but i have heard mixed reviews.

edit: have always wanted to try the "manhattan rye" though

Strangely, that's one of the few ryes I've tried. I didn't care for it, but I also have no frame of reference. Just curious, what are some of your favorite whiskey / bourbons (not counting scotch, which is yucky)?

got a bottle of blantons i've yet to crack open.

that four roses single barrel is my fav. bourbon i've tried. wish i had picked up another bottle or two before it dried out like the Sahara round here

We had a bad experience at Four Roses. Terrible terrible tour guide. At the end, the whisky didn't even taste good.
I have 1/2 a bottle of Blanton's at home. It's damn good.

p.s. i find the regular four roses tastes like liqueur (??????) and the small batch isn't very good. single barrel is where it's at

I've had some Van Winkle, that was probably the best bourbon I've consumed. It didn't cost $500 a fucking bottle back in 2007?! Is there something I'm missing here?

That's just plain weird. Oh well, I'm probably just mad because it's unlikely I'll ever get to drink it again. It was quite good................for a $50 bottle of bourbon..........that I got for free.
