What about when Pepsi wasn't the underdog but was giving Coke a run for its money and Coke had to come out with the ill-advised "New Coke"? Did you drink it then?

I dont remember that to be honest.... I do remember when they brought out the LURVELY Cherry Pepsi, they NEVER should have taken that off the market, dont you think?
They have Cherry Coke in England... can you imagine how unimpressed I was when I accidentally bought a bottle while I was over there, and the shock I received when I got back to my room to discover what foul toxins I was about to let into my body?
Anyone hear the story about how the whole New Coke thing was just a ploy by Coca Cola to boost the sales of the original Coke once everyone refused to buy New Coke but bought the rereleased-after-new-coke-failed original Coke and therefore started outselling Pepsi by a large margin again? And was that sentence just a little too hard to follow?

Well, I haven't tried Cherry Pepsi so I can't really compare, although I'm sure I could have drank the whole bottle if I had to, but who wants to do something one doesn't want to do?
