A word of warning....

Hotel prices are continuing to climb in midtown Atlanta. Expect a $3 price increase in regular tickets to help me cover the expense.

The festival date will hopefully be released next week. Gold Badge holders will get 24 hrs advance notice via the mailing list before I post the dates to the website.

$3 not bad. Althought, the hotel i just booked for the end of December is LESS than the one I booked this past September and is a better hotel!!

Any ideas on what the average weekend prices we can expect?

Ditto that $3 bucks is no big deal but what concerns me are the hotel prices. The Residence made it a point to let me know that they were booking us into a "Special Event" weekend, meaning get ready to bend over and take it. I noticed a huge increase this year from the year before. Let's hope this trend doesn't continue. I still love the Residence because it is within easy walking distance of the venue and has a great free breakfast ;-) Guess we'll have to wait and see what happens next year.

For most of us the ticket cost is the easy part. It's getting there and getting accomodation where we shell out the big bucks.

It almost seems unfair somehow that Glenn puts on this big event where we plunk down $100 each, and the various other businesses in Atlanta get maybe five times that per person.

I'm not saying Glenn should charge more, but the hotels should cut Glenn some slack on price considering that his event fills all the nearby establishments over that weekend.

How true, in most cases. I'll still fly the Midwest Airlines banner.
GREAT airline to fly on. With the lower proce of fuel, my plane tix cost between 150-200, but the BIG expense is the hotel charge, especially if we come in a day early, which we probably will continue to do.
