Albums currently displeasing your ass

Yeah well, disregarding your description, I won't be checking that out for two very presumptuous and shallow reasons (which are, regardless, usually correct assumptions).

1. The cover art sucks.
2. Newer material from 80s/early 90s thrash is more likely to suck than probably any other genre I've ever seen. I really can't think of one single thrash band that had a good album in their later years.

Bonus reason: Annihilator were always third rate thrash anyway.

This album wouldn't be bad if it wasn't for the crappy Tom Arayas vocals immitation. As the musicianship isn't that atrocious the vocals are just fucking unbearable. There's a moment on the 2nd track that makes my ears hurt. If it was an instrumental album it would be okay. One of the worst vocals example ever.

slayer-world painted blood
exodus-atrocity exhibition B
testament-formation of damnation

I think these only help prove his point that old thrash bands can't have solid newer material. Testament's wasn't too bad, but not something I would get a lot of replay value out of.

M-16 and the self-titled are average as hell with the others after Tapping the Vein being mostly bad. I really enjoy early Sodom.
