I'm quite disapointed by Songs of Grief and Solitude. I've tried to like it, but it just should've been better.

The last Summoning was a slight step down from Mortal Heroes.

The new Incantation does very, very little to excite me.

Haven't really listened much to Locust Years. It's on the "to do" list.

The new Spear of Longinus is pretty great. Needs more time to be absorbed though.

Ameuoueusoueuers wasn't what I expected either.

The new Peste Noire is quite good. But not great.

I came across this and decided not to buy it. I thought it would be good for incantation just not good enough. After the first 3 albums incantation are average a lot of times.

I never actually keep track of when albums are released, but of the ones I've heard and know were released this year the new Xasthur impressed me, Imperium Damnatum by Asmodeus was excellent (although not as good as Phalanx Inferna), The Grand Finale compilation by Nasum had some excellent unreleased material on it. Again not really an album, but the Ir Nusinese Saule Miskai Demo by Altoriu Seseliai is fantastic and Naglfar's Pariah was pretty solid.

I consider Sodom - Sodom one of their best albums, however so far I dont think 2006 is anything really special. Some good albums have come out though.
