I'm finally getting around to Estradasphere's Palace of Mirrors, and I'm really liking it. I was turned off from their earlier works because they were pretty weird, but this is good stuff.

Aren't you one of those people who just falls head over heels for anything remotely leftfield in terms of just being wacky (Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, etc.)? Even I like early Estradasphere, and I pretty much hate stuff that's purposely trying to be avant-garde...

Yeah. I don't know...I was expecting something different from the early Estradasphere stuff. Maybe I need to go back and re-listen. I'm pretty picky with my avant garde stuff. if it's weird for the sake of being weird, then I don't really care for it. There needs to be some coherency/harmoniousness(is that a word?) to the whole thing

Haven't heard much else though. I'm trying to listen to all the new albums I can before the year is over, since I have to write a "best of" article for my website. There's a lot of shit out this year...
