Pretty much yes, instead of going "umm" or "aaah" or something like that, he just starts swearing to collect his thoughts Maybe he should pick up some southern dialect so he could speak so sloooowwlyyyy, that there's no need to swear in the middle because you can form the next sentence in your mind while speaking.
